Passengers will have two registration methods available for using the biometric system during check-in: 1. Counter Check-In: Travelers can request assistance from airline staff to enroll their facial data using the CUTE boarding pass reader, which securely collects their facial recognition and travel document information as a digital Token. 2. Self-Check-In Kiosks (CUSS): After checking in via kiosk, travelers can select their airline, opt for “Enrollment,” scan the boarding pass, insert their passport or ID, and conclude with a facial scan. The system then safely retains this data as a Token. Upon successful registration, passengers provide consent for using their biometric data throughout their journey, thus eliminating the repetition of presenting a passport or boarding pass during baggage drop, security checks, and boarding processes. This biometric technology seamlessly integrates with AOT’s passenger processing systems, such as CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment), CUSS (Common Use Self Service), CUBD (Common Use Baggage Drop), PVS (Passenger Validation System), and SBG (Self-Boarding Gate), ensuring a comprehensive and fluid travel experience at major airports including Chiang Mai, Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai, Phuket, and Hat Yai.
