This recognition as an Identity Proofing Service Provider (IPSP) affirms its compliance with eIDAS authentication requirements. Keyless achieved certification for the ETSI TS 119 461 standard, which outlines stringent security and reliability protocols, and the ETSI EN 319 401 guideline, which ensures compliance with best practices for Trust Service Providers (TSPs) within EU regulations.
The ETSI TS 119 461 standard, introduced by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in 2021, establishes comprehensive security mandates for identity proofing. It includes a framework dedicated to the issuance of digital signatures. Conversely, the ETSI EN 319 401 guideline specifies general policy needs for TSPs to follow best compliance and security practices.
Following this certification, Keyless Co-founder and CTO Paolo Gasti expressed that the company continues to innovate in alignment with EU eIDAS requirements. He noted, “This accreditation is a formal validation of our technology, giving EU governments and organizations additional peace of mind when using our solutions.” Additionally, Gasti hinted at further developments, having recently launched a web SDK.
The certification was issued by CSQA Certificazioni Srl, an accredited organization in Italy, coinciding with advancements in the European Digital Identity Wallet initiative. This new certification reinforces Keyless’s role as a reliable provider of ID proofing services in the EU, complementing its existing biometric certifications such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and FIDO Biometrics certifications.
In other news, iiDENTIFii has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification from BSI, underscoring its commitment to information security, privacy, and cybersecurity. This standard focuses on managing and improving an information security management system.
Marco Wagener, CTO of iiDENTIFii, stated that this certification “reflects our dedication to upholding the highest standards of information security.” Meanwhile, Identomat announced its successful attainment of SOC 2 Type 2 certification, which validates their data protection and compliance processes following a third-party audit.
Identomat’s CEO David Lomiashvili remarked that the certification represents a long-term commitment to establish a secure and trustworthy infrastructure for their clients. Notably, the company previously secured its eIDAS certification last year, demonstrating its investment in strict compliance and data security practices.
