MOSIP Connect 2025, co-hosted by MOSIP and the Philippine Statistics Authority from March 11-13, will spotlight digital identity’s role in government transformation. Following a successful first edition, the event will feature workshops, exhibitors, and initiatives to advance biometrics and identity solutions.
The upcoming MOSIP Connect 2025 in Manila, Philippines, scheduled from March 11 to 13, will focus on foundational and digital identity, emphasizing their significance in government digital transformation. The event is co-hosted by the Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP) and the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Over the past year, MOSIP has engaged in multiple initiatives, including a recent integration in Nigeria and the development of digital public infrastructure in Trinidad and Tobago. Furthermore, MOSIP has launched a biometric device certification program, discussed in a recent webinar featuring Sanjith Sundaram and Ted Dunstone.
This year marks the second edition of MOSIP Connect, with backing from Co-Develop and the Gates Foundation. The inaugural event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, attracted over 400 attendees from 28 countries and was deemed a significant success.
Knowledge partners for the 2025 event include the Alan Turing Institute, OpenWallet Foundation, and Upanzi Network (CMU-Africa). Kaliya Young and Lucy Yang will facilitate an “unconference” on the second day, with Biometric Update serving as the media partner for the conference.
Workshops covering national identity projects and developments in the biometrics and digital ID sectors will be featured. Notable exhibitors include HID, Secugen, Integrated Biometrics, and Thales, among others, and students and developers will showcase adoptable solutions derived from MOSIP Decode and MOSIP Create initiatives.
