Users can activate a verification QR code by using a built-in widget on their phones whenever necessary during registration, treatment, or payment processes at the hospital.
Patients can generate a QR code from the PASS app, scan it at kiosks, and securely transmit their information to Yongin Severance Hospital. This integration is in compliance with the National Health Insurance Act, which mandates identity verification in hospitals across South Korea. For citizens possessing IC chip-embedded plastic ID cards, the process to obtain a digital residence card has been simplified through a straightforward scanning method. Additionally, expats aged 14 and older, who own smartphones, are also eligible for mobile ID access. Digital residence cards are designed for exclusive use on one mobile device and will be recognized in various settings such as government offices and banks, facilitating transactions and administrative tasks.
